Jeopardy...(again!) 🌟

ree

AASU came back with another Fam Bam Jeopardy event! Let's here a few words from Ben, one of our interns who hosted the event:

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the recap of the first AASU weekend event, Jeopardy. I'm your host and Spring 2024 intern, Ben, and I invite you to read this entertaining afternoon recap. The event started strong as families gathered in Memorial Union to represent their knowledge of history, pop culture, and math. The event was divided into "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" and traditional Jeopardy.

As an intern, I had the opportunity to create the first round of questions, ranging from basic mathematics to asking them what items were in my Costco shopping cart. To answer the 2nd question, it was a rotisserie chicken, 15 pounds of chicken nuggets, Kirkland Costco Cookies, and Buldak Ramen. Galactose Empire demolished the board, eventually being forced to answer a $500 question for fairness. Lesson learned to make the questions much harder next time, as I severely underestimated how most people in college outside of the Business school are more intelligent than 5th graders.

The 2nd round of questions was hosted by Fam Bam Coordinator Ashish, who dazzled the crowd with pop culture and sports questions only Adam could answer. In a fantastic turn of events, the united teams of Buzz Lightyear and Big Bangers carried their team to victory in the first FamBam event of the semester. Both teams earned a significant lead into the semester. There's only one event on the table, and it's already getting competitive, folks; I'll cya'll next time (or not) for another exciting review on the AASU blog.

Peace and Love, Ben
