In collaboration with LCSA, AASU celebrated Bon Om Touk! Bon Om Touk is a Cambodian boat paddling festival that celebrates the end of Cambodia’s rainy season. It coincides with the full moon of the Buddhist month Kadeuk and brings good luck for an abundant harvest and fruitful fishing. One special part of the festival is Bandaet Pratip, a parade of boats adorned with lights and decor in honor of water goddess Ganga Preah Mae Kongkea.

Members learned about this traditional festival, had some tasty snacks, and celebrated through a Dragon Boat making competition! The different groups got creative with their materials and designed some spectacular boats. In the end, team Meowcha came out on top!
